The Tom Dixon Melt series is a result of a pioneering collaboration with the Swedish design collective FRONT. Known for its distorted, organic form, the pendant is a masterpiece of technical innovation and aesthetic subversion. When off, the globe has a solid, reflective mirror finish; when switched on, it becomes translucent, revealing a mesmerizing, fluid-like interior effect.

The manufacturing process utilizes vacuum metallization, a high-tech process that is largely carried out in specialist facilities in Germany. This process involves a thin layer of metal being vaporized and deposited onto the inner surface of the blown polycarbonate globe.

Founded in 2002, the Tom Dixon brand has established itself as a cornerstone of British luxury lighting and furniture.
