Vomacur is a well-known German pharmaceutical brand used primarily to treat nausea, dizziness, and motion sickness. Its active ingredient is dimenhydrinate. The product was originally developed and marketed by Hexal AG, one of Germany's most prominent manufacturers of generic medicines. Hexal was founded in 1986 by the Strüngmann brothers and rose to become a market leader in the European generic drug sector.

In 2005, Hexal was acquired by the Swiss pharmaceutical giant Novartis and integrated into its generics division, Sandoz. As of early 2024, Sandoz has completed its spin-off from Novartis to become a fully independent, publicly traded company. Consequently, Vomacur is now under the ultimate ownership of Sandoz Group AG, headquartered in Switzerland. Production remains largely centered in European facilities, particularly in Germany, maintaining its heritage as a staple of German pharmacies.
