WMF, originally known as Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik, is a premier German brand established in 1853 in Geislingen an der Steige. Renowned for its industrial-quality kitchenware and cutlery, the brand is particularly famous for its 'Cromargan' stainless steel, which it patented in the 1920s to provide rust-proof and acid-resistant properties to its tools.
