Matilde is an iconic Danish dairy brand, most famous for its 'Matilde Kakaomælk' (chocolate milk), which has been a staple in Danish households since it was launched in 1970. The brand features a recognizable logo of a young girl with pigtails and is widely associated with nostalgia and comfort in Denmark.

The brand was originally created by the Danish dairy cooperative MD Foods, which later merged with Arla of Sweden to form Arla Foods. Today, Matilde remains a core brand under the Arla Foods portfolio. While Arla is a global dairy giant, the Matilde production remains deeply rooted in Denmark, specifically at the Esbjerg dairy plant, ensuring high-quality Danish milk is used for its range of milkshakes, chocolate milk, and coffee drinks.
