Majblomman (The Mayflower) is Sweden's largest children's charity organization. The brand was founded in 1907 by Beda Hallberg in Gothenburg, Sweden, with the mission of helping children in poverty. The product is a small artificial flower pin sold annually by children across Sweden to raise funds for local activities and support for children in need within the country.
While industrial goods are often outsourced, the Majblomman pins have a strong tradition of local association, though specialized production components may vary. The brand and all rights are owned strictly by the Majblommornas Riksförbund (The Mayflower National Association), a non-profit organization. It remains a uniquely Swedish cultural icon, with similar movements inspired by it in other Nordic countries.
