Garofalo is a historic premium pasta brand originating from Gragnano, Italy, a location world-renowned for its pasta-making heritage. The brand traces its roots back to 1789 when Michele Garofalo obtained a formal license to manufacture pasta. It is famous for its high-quality durum wheat semolina pasta, traditionally bronze-die extruded to create a rough texture that holds sauces effectively.

While the Garofalo family built the brand into a global name, a significant majority stake (52%) was acquired by the Spanish multinational Ebro Foods in 2014. Today, Garofalo continues to be produced primarily in its original home of Gragnano, maintaining its Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) status for many of its products. It is distributed globally as a premium offering in the dry pasta category.
