Benugo is a prominent British catering and deli brand, widely recognized for its high-quality coffee, fresh handmade sandwiches, and artisanal baked goods. Founded in 1998 by brothers Ben and Hugo Warner with their first shop in Clerkenwell, London, the brand quickly established a reputation for excellence, leading to its expansion into prestigious public spaces.
Today, Benugo operates a diverse portfolio that includes high-street deli cafes, as well as concessions within iconic cultural institutions such as the British Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum, and various major railway stations across the UK. The brand emphasizes fresh, locally sourced ingredients where possible and maintains a specific focus on professional barista-crafted beverages.
In terms of ownership, Benugo was acquired by Westbury Street Holdings (WSH) in 2008. WSH is a major player in the hospitality and food service industry, owning several other successful brands like BaxterStorey and Searcys. Through this acquisition, Benugo has been able to scale its operations while retaining the boutique, high-end feel that helped it first find success on the London high street.
