Artwine Brut Rosé 2015

Artwine is the premium brand of the renowned Artwinery (formerly known as the Artemivsk Winery), located in Bakhmut, Ukraine. The production facility is famous for its unique underground cellars located in gypsum mines at a depth of over 70 meters, which provide the perfect natural temperature and humidity for sparkling wine production using the traditional method (méthode champenoise).

This specific vintage, the 2015 Brut Rosé, represents a significant historical artifact in the winemaking world. Following the full-scale invasion of Ukraine and the subsequent occupation of Bakhmut, the production facilities were seized or destroyed. The remaining stock from this era embodies the resilience of Ukrainian craftsmanship, as the factory that created its signature silver sleeve and the cellars where it aged for 36 months are no longer operational under their original owners.

Today, Artwinery remains one of Eastern Europe's largest producers of sparkling wines by the traditional method. While the physical territory of their primary site became a conflict zone, the brand continues to be a symbol of Ukrainian heritage and winemaking excellence on the international stage, with ownership firmly rooted in Ukrainian enterprise.
