Select is a legendary Danish sports brand founded in 1947 by Eigil Nielsen, the goalkeeper of the Danish national football team. The brand is renowned for revolutionizing the industry by creating the first laceless football and later the 32-panel ball, which is now the industry standard for spherical symmetry and aerodynamic stability.

While the brand's heart, design, and innovation remain in Denmark, the production of their high-quality hand-stitched and thermally bonded footballs primarily takes place in Pakistan. Pakistan, specifically Sialkot, is the global hub for high-end football manufacturing, where Select maintains long-standing partnerships to ensure the artisan quality they are known for.

Today, Select remains a privately held company under the name Select Sport A/S. It continues to be a market leader, serving as the official ball provider for numerous professional leagues across Europe, including the Danish Superliga, the German Bundesliga (under the subsidiary Derbystar), and many others.
