Revilla is one of Spain's most iconic brands in the processed meat industry, particularly famous for its chorizo and dry-cured sausages. Founded in Soria, Spain, the brand built a reputation for traditional Spanish flavors and mass-market accessibility, becoming a staple in Spanish households over several decades.
Throughout its history, the brand has undergone significant ownership changes. It was famously owned by Unilever for many years before being sold to the American multi-national meat processor Campofrío. Today, Revilla is part of the Sigma Alimentos portfolio following the acquisition of Campofrío Food Group. While it remains a deeply Spanish brand in terms of identity and production, its ultimate parent company is Mexican.
