STADA Arzneimittel is a globally recognized pharmaceutical giant focusing on three core pillars: consumer healthcare products, generics, and specialty pharmaceuticals. The company provides a wide array of well-known medications and personal care items ranging from cold remedies to specialized hygiene products.

The history of the brand dates back more than a century to 1895, when it was founded in Dresden as a cooperative pharmacy under the name Standardarzneimittel Deutscher Apotheker. Over the decades, it evolved through mergers and public trading to become a dominant player in the European and international pharmaceutical markets. Its global footprint now covers sales in approximately 120 countries.

In terms of ownership, STADA underwent a significant transition in 2017 when it was acquired by a private equity consortium led by Bain Capital and Cinven. Today, it operates as a private company under their stewardship, headquartered in Bad Vilbel, Germany, while maintaining a vast network of international subsidiaries and manufacturing sites across Europe and Asia, such as Nizhpharm in Russia and Pymepharco in Vietnam.
