Lafuma Outdoor Furniture and Apparel

Lafuma was founded in 1930 in Anneyron, France, initially as a producer of backpacks and camping equipment. The brand became a pioneer in French outdoor gear, eventually expanding into high-performance mountain apparel and its famous 'Zero Gravity' reclining furniture. The brand is highly regarded for its ergonomic designs and technical fabric innovations.

While the furniture line (Lafuma Mobilier) continues to be manufactured extensively in France, the apparel and footwear divisions are part of a larger global supply chain. In 2013, the Lafuma Group was acquired by the Swiss-based Calida Group, but in 2022, the lifestyle and apparel segment was sold to the French holding company Millet Mountain Group to consolidate outdoor heritage brands under a single French umbrella.
