The brand offers a wide variety of coffee formats, including whole beans, ground coffee, and the single-serve pods or pads seen in the image. These specific soft pods are typically compatible with Senseo-style coffee machines.

As a house brand for ALDI, the production of Barissimo coffee is outsourced to various large-scale coffee roasters across Europe and the United States, depending on the specific market. For the European market, much of the roasting and packaging occurs in Germany, where ALDI is headquartered. The brand represents ALDI's strategy of providing high-quality consumer goods that compete with national brands like Senseo or Keurig at a lower price point. Ownership of the brand remains entirely with the ALDI group (divided between ALDI Nord and ALDI Süd).
