Harry's was founded in 2013 by Andy Katz-Mayfield and Jeff Raider in New York City. The brand was established with the goal of providing high-quality shaving products at a more affordable price point compared to dominant market players. By verticalizing their supply chain—most notably through the 2014 purchase of a German blade factory—the brand quickly grew from an online disruptor to a major retail presence globally.

Manufacturing and Ownership

While Harry's is famous for producing its blades in Germany, its skincare and grooming products are developed and manufactured in various specialized facilities. As indicated on the packaging, this specific Post-Shave Balm is manufactured in Spain. The brand is currently owned by Harry's, Inc. (formerly known as Harry's Grooming), which continues to operate as an independent, private company after a proposed merger with Edgewell Personal Care was blocked by federal regulators in 2020. Since then, Harry's has expanded into a multi-brand platform, acquiring other lifestyle and personal care brands such as Lumē and Cat Person.
