Marcilla is a historic Spanish coffee brand with roots dating back to 1907. Originally founded by Julián Marcilla in Barcelona, the brand became a household name in Spain, known for its high-quality coffee and traditional roasting techniques. Over the decades, it has evolved to meet modern consumer needs, such as the introduction of aluminum capsules compatible with Nespresso machines.

While the brand is deeply Spanish in its origin and heritage, it is currently owned by JDE Peet's, a global coffee and tea company headquartered in the Netherlands. JDE Peet's was formed by the merger of D.E Master Blenders 1753 and the coffee division of Mondelez International. Today, the majority of Marcilla's coffee capsules are manufactured in France at specialized production facilities, although raw coffee sourcing and some aspects of production remain part of a global supply chain.
