SIGG is a legendary Swiss brand founded in 1908 by Ferdinand Sigg and Xaver Küng in Biel, Switzerland. While famously known worldwide for its iconic aluminum beverage bottles—which have even been featured in the Museum of Modern Art—the brand has historically diversified its product line into various outdoor gear, including kitchenware and portable lighting solutions like the flashlight shown here.
While SIGG maintains its primary manufacturing facility for its aluminum bottles in Frauenfeld, Switzerland, ensuring the 'Swiss Made' quality for its core products, many of its lifestyle accessories and electronic items, such as flashlights, are manufactured in China. These items are designed to complement the outdoor adventurous lifestyle associated with the SIGG brand, providing durable and functional utility for campers and hikers.
In February 2016, SIGG Switzerland Bottles AG was acquired by the Haers Vacuum Containers Co. Ltd., a major manufacturer based in China. This acquisition combined Swiss design heritage with Chinese manufacturing scale and investment. Today, the brand remains headquartered in Switzerland, maintaining its premium positioning while leveraging the global supply chain of its ultimate owner.
