Aida (Café-Konditorei Aida) is a legendary Viennese institution founded in 1913 by Josef Prousek. Since then, it has become one of the most iconic symbols of Austrian café culture, famous for its distinctive pink aesthetics and high-quality traditional pastries. Originally starting as a small pastry shop in Vienna's 9th district, it has expanded into a hallmark of the city's culinary identity.

All products are manufactured and baked within Austria, specifically in the company’s central production facility in Vienna, ensuring that their famous Sachertorte, Cremeschnitte, and apple strudels remain authentic to their origins. Maintaining central production allows the brand to control the quality across its dozens of locations.

Aida remains a family-owned business, representing over a century of heritage. The company is currently managed by the fourth generation of the Prousek family. This independent ownership has allowed the brand to preserve its unique identity and traditional recipes while carefully expanding both locally and internationally.
