Parmalat is a global powerhouse in the dairy industry, originally established in Italy. Founded in 1961 by Calisto Tanzi in Collecchio, the brand quickly expanded from a small pasteurization plant to a multinational corporation known for pioneering Long Life (UHT) milk. Today, it operates a vast network of production facilities across Europe, North America, Latin America, Africa, and Australia, ensuring that dairy products are produced close to their respective consumer markets.

While the brand remains deeply rooted in Italian culinary tradition, its ownership underwent a significant shift following a major restructuring. Since 2011, Parmalat has been under the control of the Lactalis Group, a French multinational that is the largest dairy products group in the world. As a subsidiary of Lactalis, Parmalat continues to manage a diverse portfolio of international and local brands, maintaining its status as a leader in milk, fruit juices, and functional dairy foods.
