Soplica Vodka and Liqueurs

Soplica is one of Poland’s oldest and most iconic vodka brands, with a history dating back to 1891 when it was founded by Bolesław Kasprowicz in Gniezno. The brand is deeply rooted in Polish heritage, often drawing inspiration from national literature and traditional spirit-making techniques. Soplica is renowned for its smooth, high-quality base spirits and its extensive range of fruit and nut macerated liqueurs, including popular flavors like Hazelnut (Orzech Laskowy), Cherry (Wiśniowa), and Quince (Pigwowa).

Manufacturing remains centered in Poland, primarily in the town of Oborniki, ensuring that the brand maintains its authentic connection to Polish regional ingredients and traditional distilleries. Over the decades, the brand has transitioned through several ownership hands, reflecting the consolidation of the global spirits industry.

Today, Soplica is owned by Maspex, a Polish food and beverage giant, following its acquisition from the Russian-owned Roust Group in 2022. This acquisition marked a significant homecoming for the brand, bringing one of Poland’s most historic labels back under domestic ownership. Maspex has since focused on modernizing the brand's distribution while preserving the classic recipes that have defined Soplica for over 130 years.
