Stuttgarter Hofbräu is a historic German brewery rooted in the city of Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg. Established in 1872 through the merger of older brewing traditions, it gained significant prestige when it was appointed as the official purveyor to the Royal Court of Württemberg, a legacy reflected in its name 'Hofbräu'. Today, it remains deeply embedded in local culture, particularly as one of the few breweries authorized to serve guests at the Cannstatter Volksfest, Stuttgart’s major beer festival.

While the brewery maintains its local production site in Stuttgart to ensure traditional beer styles like Pilsner and Export are brewed according to the German Purity Law (Reinheitsgebot), its ownership has evolved. In 2004, the brewery became part of the Radeberger Group, Germany's largest private brewery group. This group is itself a division of the Dr. August Oetker KG, a multinational family-owned enterprise headquartered in Bielefeld. This corporate structure allows Stuttgarter Hofbräu to maintain its regional identity while benefiting from the extensive distribution and resources of a global conglomerate.
