In 2018, Unilever sold its entire spreads division, including Flora and ProActiv, to the private equity firm KKR. This resulted in the formation of Upfield, which now serves as the ultimate owner and global producer of the brand. Manufacturing occurs across multiple facilities globally to serve regional markets; the specific unit shown in the image is distributed in the Iberian Peninsula by Upfield Spain S.L.U. The product is marketed under the ProActiv name in many European countries to highlight its clinically proven heart-health benefits.
