Manufacturing primarily takes place in Fawdon, Newcastle upon Tyne, in the United Kingdom. Ownership passed to Nestlé in the late 1980s following the acquisition of Rowntree's. Today, it remains one of the most recognizable 'biscuit-bar' offerings under the Nestlé portfolio, often marketed for its lower calorie count compared to standard chocolate bars.
