Gwalia, historically known as Grŵp Gwalia, is a prominent provider of social housing, care, and support services based in Wales. In 2016, Gwalia underwent a significant organizational shift by merging with the Seren Group to form the Pobl Group. This merger was designed to pool resources, increase the capacity for building new affordable homes, and enhance the quality of care provided to an aging population. Today, Gwalia operates as a core part of the Pobl Group brand, maintaining its Welsh heritage while benefiting from the scale of its parent organization.

Ownership and management remain rooted in the United Kingdom, specifically within Wales. As a non-profit organization, the focus remains on community engagement, fire safety, and providing support services like money advice and career development for its staff. The entity continues to manage general, intermediate, and sheltered rental housing options under the broader Pobl Group umbrella.
