Berliner Kindl is one of the most iconic beer brands from Berlin, Germany. Its roots date back to 1872 with the founding of the Vereinsbrauerei Berliner Gastwirte zu Berlin AG. The brand is famous for its 'Berliner Kindl' logo, depicting a child in a beer mug, which was introduced in 1907.

The 'Jubiläums Pilsener' specifically was created in 1987 to commemorate the 750th anniversary of the city of Berlin. It is brewed in the Weissensee district of Berlin, maintaining a strong local identity. While originally independent, the brewery was acquired by the Radeberger Group in the 2000s, which itself is a major division of the family-owned Oetker Group. This ownership ensures that the brand remains under a prominent German conglomerate with a vast portfolio in the food and beverage sectors.
