Cadbury is a world-renowned British confectionery brand with a history dating back to 1824 when John Cadbury opened his shop in Birmingham. The Dairy Milk line, specifically, was introduced in 1905 and has since become one of the most iconic chocolate brands globally. This particular product is a seasonal Easter offering, featuring a hollow milk chocolate egg paired with caramel-filled chocolate buttons known as 'Nibbles'.
While the brand is a quintessential British icon, its ownership transitioned significantly in the 21st century. In 2010, the company was acquired by the American multinational Kraft Foods, which later spun off its snacks business into Mondelēz International in 2012. Today, Mondelēz oversees the global production and distribution of Cadbury products. Manufacturing for the UK market remains largely centered at the historic Bournville plant in Birmingham, though global supply chains mean components or packaging may originate from various international facilities.
