Magnum Almond Cone ice cream

Magnum is a globally recognized premium ice cream brand, most famous for its thick chocolate-coated bars. It was originally launched in 1989 in Belgium, developed as collaboration between the Belgian chocolate house Callebaut and Frisko, which was then a part of the Anglo-Dutch multinational Unilever. The brand successfully repositioned ice cream from a child-focused treat to an indulgent premium snack for adults.

Today, Magnum products are manufactured in multiple countries across Europe, Southeast Asia, and North America to serve local markets. While originally a European innovation, the brand is owned by Unilever. As of 2024, Unilever has announced plans to spin off its ice cream division into a standalone business, which is expected to be finalized by late 2025 or 2026. This means the ultimate owner will soon be a newly listed independent company dedicated solely to ice cream, though currently, it remains under the Unilever umbrella.
