Napoleon is a iconic brand of traditional hard-boiled candies, most famous for their lemon-flavored sweets filled with a sour sherbet powder. The brand's history dates back to 1912 in Antwerp, Belgium, when a local baker named Louis Janssen created the candy as a result of a friendly competition with a colleague. Janssen named the candy after the French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, which remains a core part of its visual identity today.

The production of these candies was historically linked to the Janssen family but later became part of larger confectionery groups. Since the early 21st century, the brand has been manufactured by Pervasco, based in Breskens, Netherlands, though the primary production facilities remain in Schelle, Belgium. Today, Napoleon candies are recognized as a Belgian specialty and a staple of the Benelux confectionery market, owned by the Dutch holding company Pervasco Auberge B.V.
