Smoby Toys

Smoby is one of France's most prominent toy manufacturers, originally founded in 1924 as a company specializing in wooden items before transitioning to plastic toys in the 20th century. The brand is widely recognized for its high-quality outdoor play equipment, kitchens, and ride-on toys, emphasizing durability and ergonomic design for children.

In 2008, after facing financial difficulties, Smoby was acquired by the SIMBA DICKIE GROUP, one of the largest toy manufacturers in Europe. Today, much of the production remains centered at the Smoby factory in Arinthod, France, maintaining its heritage of European craftsmanship. Under the ownership of the German group, Smoby has expanded its global presence while increasingly incorporating sustainable practices, such as the 'Smoby Life' collection which utilizes recycled plastics.
