Sol Cerveza Mexican Lager

Sol is a classic Mexican lager with a rich history dating back to 1899, when it was first brewed by a German brewmaster at the El Salto del Agua brewery near Mexico City. Originally named "El Sol," the beer was inspired by a ray of sunlight hitting the brewing pot. The brand eventually became part of Cervecería Moctezuma and later Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma Brewery.

Today, Sol is a global brand that embodies the spirit of Mexico. While it is still brewed extensively in its home country for domestic consumption and export, global demand led to licensing and production agreements in various regions. Since 2010, the Heineken N.V. group has held the global rights to the brand, managing its distribution and marketing worldwide to maintain its position as one of the most recognizable Mexican beers.
