The Berså series is one of the most iconic symbols of Swedish mid-century design. Originally created in 1961 by Stig Lindberg for Gustavsberg Porcelain, the pattern features stylised green leaves and has become a staple in Nordic homes. Today, the series is still manufactured in the Gustavsberg ceramic factory in Stockholm, maintaining traditional craftsmanship.
Following several corporate transitions, the brand and factory operations were eventually taken over by local interests to ensure the continuation of Swedish production. The brand represents a significant piece of Sweden's industrial art history, combining functionalism with playful aesthetics. Ownership remains under an entity dedicated to preserving the legacy of the original Gustavsberg pottery works.
