Everlast

Everlast is an iconic American brand that has become synonymous with the sport of boxing and fitness. Founded in the Bronx, New York, in 1910 by Jacob Golomb, the company transitioned from swimwear to boxing equipment when it began producing custom-made headgear for Jack Dempsey. Over the decades, Everlast became the premier choice for professional pugilists worldwide, synonymous with high-performance gloves, punch bags, and training gear.

While the brand's heritage is deeply rooted in the United States, its manufacturing operations have expanded globally to meet international demand. Much of the mass-market fitness equipment and apparel is produced in China and other Asian markets, though select high-end professional equipment continues to be manufactured in the USA. This global supply chain allows the brand to serve both professional athletes and amateur fitness enthusiasts effectively.

In terms of ownership, Everlast was acquired by the British company Sports Direct (now Frasers Group) in 2007. Since then, Frasers Group, led by Mike Ashley, has streamlined the brand's distribution and global reach. Today, Everlast remains a cornerstone of the Frasers Group sporting portfolio, leveraging the retail giant's extensive logistics network while maintaining its historic reputation for durability and quality in the ring.
