Bernard Jantarjev Ležák Amber Lager

Bernard Jantarjev Ležák is a traditional unpasteurized amber lager produced by the Family Brewery Bernard. The brand originates from Humpolec in the Czech Republic, where the brewery was founded in 1597. The modern era of the brewery began in 1991 when Stanislav Bernard, Rudolf Šmejkal, and Stanislav表ek acquired the defunct facility through privatization.

While the brewery maintains its independent family-run spirit, it is currently structured as a joint-stock company. Since 2001, the Belgian brewing group Duvel Moortgat has held a significant 50% stake in the company, providing strategic partnership while the Czech founders retain management control. This beer is specifically crafted using traditional decoction brewing methods and is known for its distinct bitterness and rich hop aroma, staying true to its Bohemian roots.
