Luxor acoustic guitar

Luxor was a prominent 'lawsuit era' brand active primarily in the 1970s. The brand was established by the German musical instrument distributor Hack & Gödde, based in Detmold.

Like many European distributors of that era, they outsourced production to high-quality Japanese factories, most notably Matsumoku, Ibanez (Hoshino Gakki), and Kasuga. These instruments were primarily replicas of famous American models from Gibson, Fender, and Martin, and were renowned for their excellent craftsmanship. While the brand originated in Germany as a distribution label, the manufacturing was almost exclusively centered in Japan during its peak years.
