Sperlari is one of Italy's most iconic confectionery brands, best known for its traditional Cremonese torrone (nougat) and hard candies. The brand was founded by Enea Sperlari in 1836 in Cremona, Italy. Over nearly two centuries, it has become synonymous with Italian festive traditions, particularly during the Christmas season.
While the brand has changed ownership several times—having once been part of the Hershey Company and later the Swedish Cloetta group—it returned to Italian management in 2017 when it was acquired by Katjes International. Today, production remains primarily centered at its historic manufacturing facilities in Italy, maintaining the authentic craftsmanship that defined its original success.
