Olympus Tough TG camera

The Olympus Tough series is a well-known line of rugged compact digital cameras, specifically designed for outdoor enthusiasts to withstand extreme conditions such as water, shocks, and freezing temperatures. Originally developed by the Japanese corporation Olympus, the camera shown features an F2.0 lens and is marked with high durability specifications.

Historically, the brand hails from Japan, where Olympus Corporation established its reputation in optics and imaging since 1919. However, following a significant corporate restructuring in 2021, Olympus Corporation divested its imaging division. The camera business was transferred to a new entity called OM Digital Solutions, which now manufactures and manages the Tough brand. While the engineering and design roots remain in Japan, high-volume production for the TG series has traditionally been centered in Vietnam.
