Indesit Home Appliance

Indesit is a leading European brand in the home appliance sector, specializing in white goods such as washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, and ovens. Founded in Italy, the brand became a household name across Europe for its efficiency and reliable performance. Originally part of the Indesit Company (formerly Merloni Elettrodomestici), it underwent a significant shift in ownership in the mid-2010s.

In 2014, the American giant Whirlpool Corporation acquired a majority stake in Indesit, integrating it into its global portfolio. However, following a strategic shift in European markets, Whirlpool recently entered into a joint venture with the Turkish multinational Arçelik. This new entity, Beko Europe, now manages the Indesit brand. Manufacturing for Indesit products remains diversified across multiple regions, including production facilities in Italy, Poland, Turkey, and the United Kingdom.
