Hawesta Tuna Salad

Hawesta is a traditional German brand specializing in canned fish products, notably herring and tuna. Founded in 1905, it became a staple of the German tinned seafood market, known for its iconic branding and focus on high-quality ingredients.

Today, Hawesta is part of the Rügen Fisch AG group, which is a major player in the European seafood processing industry. Since 2016, the majority of Rügen Fisch (and consequently Hawesta) has been owned by Thai Union Group, a global seafood leader headquartered in Thailand. While the manufacturing remains primarily focused in Germany to maintain its traditional profile, the brand is integrated into one of the world's largest seafood conglomerates.
