Acqua Vera is a historic Italian brand of mineral water born in 1979 in San Giorgio in Bosco, Padua. Originally established within the Italian beverage market, it grew significantly over several decades due to its widespread distribution and family-oriented marketing. The brand was famously part of the Nestlé Waters portfolio for many years, helping it achieve national reach across Italy.
In 2020, Nestlé sold the Acqua Vera brand to Aqua Vera SpA, a company primarily owned by the Quagliuolo family (founders of Sicon) and other institutional investors. The manufacturing continues to take place at source-specific Italian bottling plants located in San Giorgio in Bosco (Padua), Castrocielo (Frosinone), and Santo Stefano Quisquina (Agrigento), ensuring the product maintains its local Italian origin and mineral properties.
