Scott Sports, originally known as Scott USA, is a renowned producer of high-performance bicycles, winter gear, motorsports gear, and running equipment. The brand's history is rooted in technical innovation, beginning with the invention of the first aluminum ski pole in 1958. This spirit of engineering excellence eventually led the company to revolutionize the cycling world with the introduction of the aerodynamic handlebar and lightweight carbon fiber mountain bikes.

While the brand maintains its design and engineering headquarters in Switzerland, manufacturing for its bicycle frames and components is primarily concentrated in Taiwan, a global hub for high-end cycling production. Some specialized components and apparel are sourced from other production hubs around Europe and Asia.

Ownership of the brand has transitioned from its American beginnings to European management, and finally to East Asian capital. Since 2015, the South Korean company Youngone Corporation has held the majority stake and ultimate ownership of the brand. This partnership has allowed Scott Sports to scale its global logistics and manufacturing capabilities while retaining its Swiss-based innovation and development centers.
