Dolomite is a premium outdoor brand founded in 1897 in the Veneto region of Italy. Originally established as a high-performance mountain footwear company, it gained international fame for supplying equipment to historic expeditions, including the first successful ascent of K2 in 1954. Over the decades, the brand expanded from specialized hiking boots to a full range of high-end outerwear and lifestyle apparel.

While the brand's design, heritage, and identity remain deeply rooted in the Italian Alps, the brand underwent a significant ownership change in 2015 when it was acquired from the Group Tecnica by a global sports group. Today, Dolomite products are manufactured in several countries globally to meet international demand, yet they continue to emphasize the 'Italian Style' and durability that defined the original brand.

The current owner, Scott Sports, manages the brand from Switzerland, integrating Dolomite's mountain heritage with modern textile technologies and sustainable outdoor practices.
