Central Lechera Asturiana is one of Spain's most iconic dairy brands, originating from the region of Asturias in the late 1960s. The brand was founded as a cooperative, CAPSA Food (Corporación Alimentaria Peñasanta S.A.), to provide a collective platform for local farmers to process and distribute their milk. This specific product is a high-quality whipping cream ('Nata para Montar') marketed for its lack of artificial additives and its source from family farms.
To this day, the brand remains primarily owned by the farmer's cooperative, making it a staple of Spanish agricultural heritage. Manufacturing is concentrated in Spain, particularly in their main facilities in Granda (Siero). The company has maintained a strong commitment to natural ingredients and sustainable farming practices, positioning itself as a leader in the Spanish dairy market through its 'Natural' campaign.
