Birba is a prestigious Spanish biscuit brand with a history dating back to 1893 in Camprodon, Girona. The company is renowned for its artisanal production methods and the use of high-quality local ingredients, maintaining traditional recipes for over a century. The Cubanos are one of their signature products, consisting of wafer rolls dipped in chocolate.

Ownership of the brand has remained relatively local to preserve its heritage. In 2023, Galletas Birba was acquired by the Monbake Group, a major Spanish bakery and pastry company backed by the investment firm CVC Capital Partners. This acquisition was aimed at expanding the brand's reach while maintaining its traditional manufacturing base in the Pyrenees.
