Tyrrells is a premium British snack brand renowned for its hand-cooked potato crisps, often featuring whimsical, vintage-style photography on its packaging. The brand was founded in 2002 by William Chase at Tyrrells Court Farm in Herefordshire, England. By focusing on high-quality locally grown potatoes and small-batch production, Tyrrells quickly established itself as a staple in the gourmet snack market.
While its roots are deeply embedded in the English countryside, the brand's ownership has transitioned through several major food conglomerates over the last two decades. After being sold to Investcorp and later Amplify Snack Brands, it was ultimately acquired by KP Snacks, a subsidiary of the Intersnack Group. Today, while the brand maintains its distinct British identity and continues much of its production in Herefordshire, it operates as part of a massive international snack portfolio.
