Cazadores Tequila

Cazadores Tequila is a historic brand rooted in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. It was first developed in 1922 by José María Bañuelos in the town of Arandas. The name 'Cazadores,' which translates to 'The Hunters,' was inspired by the majestic stags that roamed the agave fields, symbolising the founder's pursuit of the perfect tequila recipe. The brand is renowned for using 100% Blue Weber agave and a unique double-fermentation and double-distillation process that includes traditional techniques like playing classical music during fermentation to soothe the yeast.

As a protected Denomination of Origin product, all Cazadores production takes place exclusively in Mexico. In 2002, the brand was acquired by Bacardi Limited, one of the largest privately held, family-owned spirits companies in the world. Today, Cazadores remains a global leader in the tequila category, maintained under the Bacardi portfolio while keeping its production heritage firmly planted in its original home of Arandas.
