Havana Club is one of the most recognized rum brands globally, originating from Cuba. Founded in 1878 by José Arechabala, the brand became a national icon. Following the Cuban Revolution, the brand was nationalized, leading to a complex history and a long-standing legal battle over its trademark.

Today, the brand operates as a joint venture named Havana Club International S.A., established in 1993 between the Cuban government-owned Cuba Ron S.A. and the French spirits giant Pernod Ricard. While the rum is distilled and aged in Cuba using traditional methods and local sugarcane, its global distribution is managed by Pernod Ricard's extensive network. It remains a symbol of Cuban heritage and craftsmanship in the spirits industry.
