Adolf Hitler was the leader of the Nazi Party and the dictator of Nazi Germany from 1933 until his death in 1945. His wife, Eva Braun, was his long-time companion who met him in Munich while working as an assistant to his personal photographer. As the Allied forces closed in on Berlin in April 1945, Eva Braun traveled to the Führerbunker to be with Hitler. They were married in a small civil ceremony shortly before committing suicide together on April 30, 1945.
