Lipton Yellow Label Tea

Lipton is one of the world's most recognizable tea brands, originally established in the United Kingdom in the late 19th century by Sir Thomas Lipton. While the brand has deep roots in British heritage, it has evolved through various ownership structures, most notably spending decades as part of the Unilever portfolio.

In recent years, the business underwent a significant corporate restructuring. Lipton is now a flagship brand of Lipatree (formerly known as ekaterra), a dedicated tea company. This transition followed Unilever's decision to divest most of its tea division. Lipatree is ultimately owned by CVC Capital Partners, a global private equity firm. Production is decentralized, with manufacturing and sourcing occurring in multiple countries across Asia, Africa, and Europe to supply global markets.
