Green & Black's Organic Intense Dark 70% Cocoa Chocolate

Green & Black’s is a premium chocolate brand founded in London in 1991 by Craig Sams and Josephine Fairley. The brand was established on the principle of ethical sourcing, launching the UK’s first Fairtrade-marked product. Its name reflects the founders’ commitment to environmentalism ('Green') and the high cocoa content of their dark chocolate ('Black').

While the brand maintains its British heritage and identity, its manufacturing footprint has expanded globally. It is currently produced in multiple locations, including facilities in Poland and Italy, to serve international markets while maintaining organic standards.

Ownership of the brand transitioned from the founders to Cadbury Schweppes in 2005, which was subsequently acquired by Kraft Foods. Following a corporate demerger, the brand is now owned by Mondelez International. This multinational conglomerate manages the brand's global distribution while retaining the core organic and premium positioning that Green & Black's is known for.
