Marcilla is a heritage coffee brand that holds a significant place in the Spanish market. Founded in 1907 by Julián Marcilla in Barcelona, the brand has grown from a local family business into one of the most recognizable coffee names in the Iberian Peninsula. It is particularly well-known for its 'Café Soluble' and its presence in both domestic and professional hospitality environments.

Over the decades, ownership of the brand has transitioned through major international conglomerates. It was previously part of the Douwe Egberts (D.E) portfolio (as seen by the logo on the packaging). Today, Marcilla is a key brand under JDE Peet’s, a global coffee and tea powerhouse. While the brand remains deeply rooted in Spanish coffee culture, its production and supply chain are integrated into JDE’s European network, with significant processing continuing in Spanish facilities to serve the local market.
