Pantone is globally recognized as the authority on color, originating in the United States in the 1960s. While the brand is famous for its Pantone Matching System (PMS), it licenses its name for various consumer goods, including mobile accessories and lifestyle products.
These consumer electronics, such as chargers and power banks, are typically manufactured in China through licensing agreements. In 2007, Pantone was acquired by X-Rite, which in turn was acquired by Danaher Corporation in 2012, making Danaher the ultimate parent company of the brand.
